Advocacy Report

We have some very good news to report.  The full House is set to vote Monday on H.R. 4367  that would eliminate redundant ATM fee notices.  The measure, which was introduced by Reps. Luetkemeyer and David Scott, was approved by the House Financial Services Committee June 27th.  The bill has broad bipartisan support and we have been pushing hard to help move it along.  We are sending another letter to the House on Monday and will send you a quick report following the vote.

Meanwhile, attached and here is the latest Regulatory Advocacy Report, which includes some key issues we are pursuing on the regulatory front.  One of the items I want to flag is the chart we developed that lists upcoming Consumer Financial Protection Bureau issues.   We will continue pressing NCUA, the CFPB and other regulatory agencies to refrain from including credit unions in new regulations wherever possible, and we will keep you posted on those efforts as well.

I hope you all have a great weekend and don’t hesitate to contact your Representative to support HR 4367.
